It’s a gift for my good Norwegian mate, who’s been on the Hornchurch Coach a few times, now, and is now West Ham mad. He gets it.
As much as I trust him, I wasn’t going to lend him my signed copy, so he can have his own.

My boy bought me the book for my birthday. Great read and reminded me of how things have changed and not for the better.
My 16 year olds now reading it and already said how much better following west ham seemed then.

lily got to number one in usa for books of this type ,been top for three days,i cant believe it , a man who was self taught . with a best seller.what next gsb might fuck off, i can only hope that one day i return to watch my first love.

Bloody hell, Bill. You’re a survivor. Dealt a shit hand, but laid 5 Aces on the table, somehow.
Non football fans will find the book intriguing. Fans of other clubs will be riveted. All West Hams must read it. You’ll find the main source of the unwritten rules that make Hammers a cut above the rest.
It’s a painful read at times. Most men would have folded and crumpled trying to carry half the load BG lugged on his shoulders, always with a straight spine.
Bless you, mate, and enjoy that holiday when you get chance to take it.
